The Ana Grace Academy of the Arts (PK-5) utilizes research-based teaching and learning practices in reading, mathematics, science, technology and the arts, students make interdisciplinary connections, engage in project-based learning, and work with professional artists as they develop and refine new skills.

Instruction in core academic areas, as well as participation in live performances and public showcases of their work, provides students with challenging learning activities that develop their ability to demonstrate creativity, communicate effectively, collaborate with others, and assume leadership roles. This opportunity provides elementary students a continuum of learning as they prepare to progress on to the Middle and High School programs at GHAA and ultimately higher education and/or a career in the arts.

The Ana Grace Academy of the Arts (6-8) curriculum is individualized to be uniquely rigorous for your student and their specific needs.  Through collaborative planning and frequent assessment, our teachers learn where your student excels, determine where they need to grow, and then apply any supports or extensions to their lessons.  Additionally, every student has a 45-minute College Preparatory Block, where they receive additional, small group instruction in math, reading or arts.  This approach encourages students to immerse themselves in a rigorous core academic curriculum, while exploring their artistic potential.

Core academic courses include daily English Language Arts and Math instruction, with a on/off rotation of Science and World Regional Studies.  We place an emphasis on 21st century learning and preparedness, including digital literacy and access to state-of-the-art technology. Students encounter remarkable lessons by passionate teachers in a supportive, positive environment.
